The Tower Dining Room
A unique, hexagonal room with large, imposing arrow-slit windows and magnificent open fireplace. This room has great character and makes for an unforgettable castle dining experience. It can seat a maximum of 30 persons.
Incidentally, there are five chamber pot recesses in the Tower Dining Room. Many years ago, when the ladies left the room to retire to their sewing, to talk about Henry’s latest wife or to do whatever ladies did in those days, the men would stay behind and discuss the business of the day. However, they knew that if one of them left the room to go to relieve himself, he would be talked about by the others. So, to avoid this, they had chamber pots hidden in the recesses so they could use them as and when required!
