We are pleased to announce that phase one of our refurbishment programme is almost complete and we will be ready to welcome guests back to the castle from Wednesday 10th February 2021. Our future guests will enjoy a much-enhanced castle experience where they will encounter many spectacular improvements, as well as the original historical elements and features that were offered previously.
We would like to assure all guests that once the castle re-opens, the safety of our guests and staff remains our number one priority and we will continue to adhere to the detailed guidance set out for the hospitality industry. This will ensure that every guest’s stay will be safe, enjoyable and with confidence.

For guests who are booked to stay in the coming weeks, there is no need to call the hotel, as our Reservations team will be proactively contacting guests in order of priority based upon their arrival date.
For direct guests, the value of the paid deposit or fully pre-paid advance purchase can be transferred and applied against the value of any revised bookings made by 20 December 2020 for stays completed by 20 December 2021.
For third party guests (those booked through a company other than Thornbury Castle), bookings can be transferred to alternative dates prior to 20 December 2021, however date restrictions may apply.
