Christmas Itinerary

Christmas Eve 

1 – 4pm: Arrive at your leisure and begin your festive getaway with a delightful afternoon tea, served in one of our cosy lounges beside a roaring log fire. Relax and soak in the holiday ambience as you prepare for the days ahead.

3pm: Your beautifully appointed bedrooms will be ready for check-in, but don’t feel rushed! Arrive early to unwind with a board game or take a leisurely stroll around our enchanting grounds .

4pm: The spirit of the season comes alive with a performance by local carol singers in the atmospheric Tudor Hall, lit by candlelight. Savour a warm mulled wine or indulgent hot chocolate as you enjoy your favourite festive melodies.

6pm: Join us for a sophisticated Champagne and canapé reception.

From 7pm Enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner with pre-allocated time slots in the Tower restaurant. The evening’s enchantment continues with live music, providing the perfect backdrop for your enjoyment.

Midnight: Guests are invited to experience the serene beauty of Midnight Mass at St. Mary’s Church, just a short stroll away.

Christmas Day Festivities

8 – 10am: Once Father Christmas has delivered gifts, we invite you to begin Christmas morning with a delicious breakfast.

12pm onwards: Gather around the majestic Christmas trees in the lounges for a Champagne drinks reception, before the main event. Four-course Christmas lunch. Relish an indulgent four-course Christmas lunch, complete with all the festive trimmings. Lunch is served with pre-allocated time slots in the Tower restaurant.

3pm: Option to take a moment to tune into the King’s Christmas message, broadcast in the Tudor Hall, as we reflect on the meaning of the season.

Afternoon: For those feeling adventurous, embark on the castle’s ‘Tudor Quest,’ a captivating treasure hunt to uncover the secret of the lost jewel hidden within the castle grounds. Prefer a more relaxed afternoon? Settle into a cosy armchair by the fire, enjoy a friendly board game, or simply savour the warm ambience.

7pm: As the day winds down, join us for a pre-dinner festive cocktail, followed by a delightful informal buffet dinner served in the lounges. Enjoy a casual yet elegant feast in the company of fellow guests, with live acoustic entertainment.

Boxing Day Celebrations

9:30am – 12.30pm: Enjoy a relaxing brunch, feast on steak and egg, roast salmon and a Bloody Mary with or without the Vodka kick.

1:30pm or 2:30pm: Step into history with exciting Tudor-inspired activities in the castle grounds. Channel your inner royal with a try at axe throwing or longbow archery, experiencing the thrill of these ancient pastimes.

Evening: Farewell Gala From 6pm, join us for a celebratory glass of Champagne and canapés in the lounge and library, setting the tone for a spectacular evening.

7:30pm: Sit down to a lavish five-course Gala dinner with live music entertainment in the Tudor Hall.

Departure Morning – 27th December

8 – 10am: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the restaurant, taking time to enjoy the final moments of your stay amidst the festive atmosphere.

11am: Checkout time. As we bid you farewell, we thank you for sharing this magical holiday with us and wish you safe travels.
